About me
My life was changed once when I encountered mental illness for the first time, and then again when I discovered that it was caused by an underlying sleep disorder that I’d struggled with since I was young. Because of what I’ve been through, I’m reminding myself to always remain grateful for what I have and to act in a way that lifts others up. I often reflect on the deeper questions of what it means to live a good life, and I try draw wisdom from as many places as possible. I am always keen to learn and remain open to alternative perspectives which challenge my most deeply held beliefs.
I am deeply optimistic about the world, and I believe that it is well within our means to eradicate systemic social issues like poverty, malnutrition and lack of access to education, tackle climate change, and act as responsible stewards for life on this planet. But I am also impatient. We can and should be doing more to bring about a better world for the generations to come.
But ultimately, I feel that life is a journey with no end or objective. We each bear the responsibility of constructing our own sense of meaning in the environments we interact with. It is all we can and should do to live our lives according to what we believe in and encourage others to do the same.
About this site
This website is a personal journal and platform to articulate things that matter to me. Beyond a means of sharing knowledge, writing helps me to refine and unify my thoughts. I value content with depth and substance, that delves into details and takes different perspectives into account. In all my articles, I will give credit to sources of inspiration and include references for further reading. If I come across fresh insights that strengthen or challenge arguments in previous articles, they will be updated accordingly.
I have no intention of prescribing any ideas or beliefs, nor do I believe that my views are inherently “right” by any means. I am simply sharing my own thoughts, opinions and experiences with the hope that it may spur you to evaluate your own.
